Quick dry lacquer thinner will clean the grain amazing. Follow up with a leather conditioner and you'll be good to go.

Good results so far man, looks like a lot of elbow grease and time into it so far. It'll look awesome when you're done. Maybe try a dremel with some polishing tips or wire brushes for the heavily...

If they are more than 3-4 years old you may have some fading of the paint to contend with so you'll have like a ghost line where the stripe was. FWIW. Gold probably won't be that noticeable though....

Go for a polish to get out the light scratches and then a liquid carnuba for the deep wet look. Also depends if you are doing by hand or with a machine and which products you use.

Engine cleaner/degreaser or simple green degreaser work good. Just keep in mind you'll be washing all that stuff onto the ground so you'll need to clean it up if there's a lot of it.

It'll work the same as on the headlights, good. Might be easier to pull the signal lights out of the bumper since they are a little recessed to get all the edges.
