well... I've been on the Maxima forums for 8 years.. since I was 16 yrs old lol and after owning 3 maximas they definitely fulfilled much of my young adult life, and how much fun I had in them and on...

i bought the parts myself..chains (all 3) and all tensioners and water pump, also new side engine cover in case it warped, and i went to a guy i know who did it for $600 in labor. the top tensioner...

keep getting SES lights for a multitude of things but they all lead to one root: the timing. I cant figure this out and its really getting to me.. 2 of the codes read for variable valve timing...

ok...so have had an SES light forever now.. car runs a little funny low end tq is lacking most of the time...but seems if the car is driven hard it runs better (doesnt lag as much) but anyway i have...

I looked @ the links, I did all the things the link suggested with cam sensorsd and valve solenoids and nothing, I've changed the oil a couple times since. I have NOT checked the TPS, or pcv valve....

Went to dealer for ses light and car is lacking in power and it's just lagging. Soo they told me could be the camshaft pos sensor... They replaced Em nothing changed. Than they said try the intake...

got this exhaust last week, sounds nice, toned but quiet. when decelerating or downshifting the popping is nice. Looks good although, might paint the rear part of the muffler black (not the tip)...

Okkk so I was gonna replace the cats, took out the radiator side cat and found that it was almost completely gutted already, i guess it broke over time. If I gut the rear cat and leave the front one...

I think there was something I read somewhere once that Nissan had the most cars with "unexpected features in the price range" but its true, my Maxima has just about every feature my Moms $55,000 X3...

Well in the city you are not gonna get great gas mileage, but if its really that low you might want to check some things out to see why its getting such a low mileage.
