Engine noise on startup *VIDEO*

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gJ5gVhCRd-M

Any one have this or have had this? Anyone can let me know what they think it is or what it could be? Any help would be appreciated.

Edit: This noise does go away mostly when the engine is heated up. It's just a annoying sound and something I'd like to get fixed.

I had a similar sound in my last car.

It was a bad bearing in my ac compressor.

It could have something to do with it, seeing that my ac is blowing hot air and making a weird noise when its on. A whine when the ac is on.

I know exactly what it is, its the timing chain. The tensioners go bad in these cars sometimes (common problem) I had the issue, its over a 1000 dollar job in most cases, while the mechanic is in there replacing timing chain tensioners usually replace them all, and change the water pump too. Its not an easy fix, most mechanics want to loosen or remove the motor to do the job, and on top of that 4 mechanics I knew didnt even want to DO the job... The issue is tensioners are oil pressure operated, once the pressure comes up and stays up noise goes away. It wont mke the noise unless you leave the engine off for a long time. Granted my engine lasted about 80,000 miles with that noise than it became constant, never went away and I had to get it fixed. :/

BTW - all you guys that said you have this problem - how many miles do you have when this noise started?

It could be the timing chain and it could be the lifters. I recommend changing your oil and see if it goes away. It is getting warmer outside in most parts of the country so you might even want to consider changing your type of oil. I just changed my oil to Castrol Edge 10w30 and started getting the same sound. $45 in oil down the drain. Back to Mobile 1 15w50. Before you start asking, I live in Hawaii and it works great. Most High performance vehicles take 15w50 as well. Cost less as well. $26.50 for a 5 quart at Walmart. Also our timing chains are lubricated by our oil so if you are close to due for a change in oil I recommend at least seeing if this fixes it. Oil breaks down pretty quick depending how you drive.
