Ok, car is running again. Turns out it was the clutch, mechanic said the assembly was "destroyed." So that explains the slipping. Wouldn't be surprised if it was the original clutch either. So...

Well I'm glad it's not like other cars! No I will be able to change it without removing the clutch. Thank God cause I don't know how to remove the clutch or transmission.
