Took a grinder to the lip edge shaving it down...

Took a grinder to the lip edge shaving it down little by little till the spot welds that hold the metal together were gone.Then jammed a screwdriver in the crack to start spreading the metal.Finished...

Its a nice spacious car to cruise around and the cvt you get used to.Makes my 02s interior feel old and outdated.I have a turbo dsm if a speed fix is needed.

Mine was only changed out since a curb ate it.Used needle nose pliers to hold the tip of the stud still while the nut was spun.

2 8mm nuts and 6 push in clips.Job will come out cleaner if taken off.
