if its raining almost anything can burn out. My ranger can burn out through 3rd gear, thats like 75 mph when it rains. Autos just don't have the same ability to burn out on dry pavement as a manual...

If you have an A/T then most cars can't burn out by just stomping the gas. It doesn't have the sudden shock that lets the tires loss grip.

my parents concorde did this until i gave it a tune up. I did the plugs, wires, fuel filter, and all the rest of the stuff. Made it go away.

Well if its the synchros its just going to get worse and worse. I mean if its only putting it in 1st from a dead stop then you should have much to worry about right now.
