The valve is the thing that is bolted to the evap canister. There a two 10 milimeter bolts that attach it to the canister. It has one electrical plug that you have to disconnect.

I just replaced the purge valve and evap canister and that fixed the problem. I had to replace the canister because one of the bolts that attaches the valve to the canister broke off in the canister...
