I could try to convince my sister to trade her woodgrain from her 02 GLE if you have the brushed metal type that's in the SE...

I did an interior swap into my 02 GLE from tan/wood -> 03 Black/Titanium. When it came time to switch the window controls, everything was great until I got to the pass side. For some reason, the window controls fro mthe 03 wouldnt work on that 1 window. I "temporarily" put the wood back in with the black interior...and it looks fantastic. It definitely makes it feel a litle more classy instead of sporty like the metal finish gives. I wouldnt have it any other way.

DO NOT BUY ANYTHING BUT THE OEM PARTS! Those stick on kits are GARBAGE!

With that said, I like the wood grain myself. It's fake but so is the other finish that is supposed to be a metallic finish but it's a better simulation than the painted grey finish.

I have the flat kit and I like it...

Granted I have a Sterling Mist GLE w/matching wheel. If the interior was black then thats a different story, brushed alum all day!

Another option would be color matching the radio/AC/door handles/moldings..

Not adding aftermarket woodgrain, but switching to oem woodgrain pieces that came standard on GLE's makes the car look nicer. It does. My SE came with grey trimming and I did a wood grain interior conversion and it looks much nicer on my black interior!

I love woodgrain, but it has to be done right, the adhesive types are cheap looking and nobody wants that. my GLE came with slight woodgrain accents and it looks great against the black interior.

When I bought mine a couple months back it had one of thos stupid kits on it it was like a seafoam green it was nasty looking. I took that off right away. and im ticked now cause it took off some of the color on the plastic pieces.

GRRRRR

I would get the full molded one and every thing.

My '97 Altima had the woodgrain with tan interior.......VOMIT. But, it was a work car, so I dealt with it. My dad's '00 Max GLE had the woodgrain with tan leather, but he's 64 years old, so he had an excuse. C'mon man, woodgrain???? It's your car and all, but...........

Should be, but if you can, post a picture of yours, and I'll post a picture of mine if I remember...

and I agree with most, woodgrain is terrible.

^^correct me if I'm wrong but can't you remove the trim from the window switches and only replace the trim rather then the full switch and cover/trim???

OP, I have the full oem wood grain kit that i am trying to get rid of of. my car is an auto with. I am looking for the Titanium pieces as we speak. If you're really interested we could work something out.
