I Thought OBD II Readers Turn Off Air Bag Light

Air bag light is blinking and from what I recalled was that this OBD II reader would turn it off.

Last time my friend at the Nissan dealership turned it off for me manually. Just can't remember...

Would water or ethanol in the gas cause the code? Sounds like it's more of a fuel issue to me. Like maybe the EGR valve or something.
