How would you explain the almost perfect circle hole with what appears to be burn marks around the circumference of the hole. And I'd think the area on the outside surrounding the hole would show...

Yes the car was bought used ac. Already checked bulbs and wiring. There aren't any modifications to any of the lighting. Car has no funky smells, I know what that type of issue would smell like....

Check to see if any of the hoses got damaged, check for anything that could've gotten knocked loose during the install and double check the connections on the sensors.

My tip was forcibly removed when my max got rear ended a few weeks ago. There's only a couple of spot welds holding it on. A block of wood and a hammer would probably work fine.
