i say you got hella deal, who needs ac when you live in mn anyways haha, it has no muffler so its impossible to be bad when its removed ;). and there is absolutely no evidence other than the bumper...

i fixed a vw with this problem, you're gonna wanna check your your battery connections and grounds/other wires off the battery, starter and off the alternator, a wire could be broken or loose.

i say jus save and spend the $$ on an intake, cause you'll prolly get no difference in power (intake or pulley) and an intake AT LEAST adds a cooler sound. With 75 bucks, or whatever money you have,...
