What they said. That grease had to be flung from your CV axle. That's why you have the shaking. You should be able to tell where the split is by where the grease hit the fender liner.

Maybe you can explain how your theory applies to a turbocharger bearing after the oil drains back into the oil pan. It's a pressure fed bearing that doesn't get any pressurized oil until the engine...
