cool, thanks for the opinions.. I'll try to pick up one a year or two newer just in case..plus this guys refuses to back down below 9 grand no matter what, and he puts about 700ish miles a week on it...

private party resale is $8975 with the current features, by upgraded stereo I meant he has the upgraded stock system I think. nothing replaced on the car but the brakes, tires have about 50% life...

I'm actually going to look at a 2004 6 speed maxima this week with 106k miles on it> I think its a decent deal for $9500ish, but I'd feel better if some nice person could run the VIN for me ;)...

HI all, i've been a long-time fan of the maxima, and have finally been able to purchase a 2001 GXE. Unfortunatly, the check engine light has come on, so I'm hoping to take it into a nissan dealer...
