Saw it today at atlanta auto show. It was on a platform, so couldn't sit in it. The dual moonroof is an "outie" and it looks very clunky, I wouldn't be surprised if it generates a lot of wind...

Nissan site says normal moonroof/sunroof is standard (not dual panel version). Please find out if that's true. I can't fit in 6th gen with moonroof and I hope the new one doesn't eat up as much...

A/C is broken on my Q45 and the vented air at 65 deg is quite pleasant for about 10 mins when the engine is cold (parked in the shade). After that, forget about pleasant..... that's what windows...

Keep in mind Nissan is probably swamped with complaints on the new pickups, quest, and altimas built in Mississippi. I hear that plant has high turnover and major quality control issues.

Making perfect cars isn't profitable and doesn't always affect new buyer behavior. Nissan knows this. I'm not surprised if they're slow to react to quality issues as long as sales are high.

The lesson learned is to not make yourself a target, esp. in high crime areas. Having a car you have to worry about all the time isn't worth it.

That's because the front wheels have to steer, the rear wheels don't. You can lower it all you want if you drive in a straight line everywhere.

I'd prefer G35, but have a big gripe with the seat switches on the side of the seat. If you're big (tall or fat or both) they can really dig in your thigh.

And no telescopic wheel on G35 means...

Gas is cheaper the brake pads and rotors, and if Maxima is like G35, it will be eating brake pads and rotors for breakfast.

Nissan is famous for flimsy brakes. They work fine, but don't last long.

Nissan (and Infiniti) are known for earlier than normal transmission failures and more frequent brake rotor replacement. Buy an extended warranty to protect against the next transmission failure.
