Mine had a bend on the slider in the control unit. The "handle" slides on a plastic rail and I guess somebody pushed it too hard and bent the rail. had to replace the whole HVAC unit. I tried to file...

I've put a radio in, and a sub, but I hadn't been behind the dash in over a month... about a year ago I had the gauges out and put LEDs back there...
I've had it for a year and a half.
