If its a perm install I would hard wire the ac line to the fuse box. I did this for my radar detector and my GPS on my KLR

Did you have the TSB done on the strut isolator? If yes, then I would be willing to bet your front brakes are sticking. Mine did the EXACT same thing :thumbsup:
