when you make the compressor engage does cold air come out of vents and the low side line get cold?

Just fixed this problem on my 96 Maxima. No Codes and MAF tested fine on machine but i replaced mine anyways and haven't had that problem reoccur since.

You can get the P/s return house from Napa or any parts house... 5/8" make sure you put that heat shield back on or something equivalent to it do to high heat and possible rubbing. no need to buy...

O and autozone can't pull the rans codes. Even if they had machine to do it they probly could not figure out how to use. Most of them are dumb. But there are a few who know their stuff

You the fsm to but the auto. Trans into output mode you will be watching the o/d light. Make sure you read the whole process then go back and do it step by step. Keep us posted

FSM is also factor service manual and check that you belt is not too tight or not tight enough. also make sure you don't have any water or grease etc between belt and the pullys. take off first belt...

If nissan doesn't carry it, its not the end. go for aftermarket. not always best option but its better than doing nothing
