The closer to 4300k, the brighter the overall HID bulb. 6000k is plenty bright, 8000k is slightly less, but def more noticeable (because they're blue)

But as for range, you can adjust the aiming...

Even heads sealed up tight have eventually had conden problems. It's an imperfect science for sure, which is all the more reason for what the OP was looking for.
