It's silicate-free, so its performance should be similar to Toyota Red/Honda/Nissan anit-freezes. I wouldn't hesitate to use it.

It makes a lot more sense to just go to Autozone and buy Mobil's 75W/90 synthetic gear oil for GL-4 applications if you are purchasing locally.

Interesting....I haven't heard this. The best way to determine any ATF's affect on your tranny is to have it analyzed regularly (yearly, for example).

Who knows for sure......I would rather see some initial analyses first. But I would recommend the EP formulation over the new SM formula Mobil 1 initially, I just wouldn't recommend being the guinea...

Amsoil, for example, does not list any Nissan auto fluid but does say Dexron III, which covers the Nissan D transmission fluid used in their 4-speed autos. I'm too ignorant on their K formulation...

If you want to make life easy on yourselves: whether you choose Mobil 1 or Amsoil, just change the oil and filter every 6 months, along with ATF drain and fill/air filter/tire rotation/and the like...

The initial posts in this thread should answer your questions. I would recommend getting (2) of the 10 quart containers of Amsoil ATF. It's going to cost $$$, so save up. It's almost imperative...
