remove the brake bleeder valve. put a soft towel...

remove the brake bleeder valve. put a soft towel into the spot where the brake pads would normally be. blow compressed air into bleeder valve opening. it will pop out.

to the thread starter, the contour's transmission is hydraulic, so no real electrical controls for the valve body.

Sometimes they just lose their memory. I've seen it quite a bit recently. There's no way to bypass it. You need to get your keys re-registered.

none of the altima tranny's had a LSD. that's why you can't find info. Look for a 3rd gen Maxima SE tranny. All the 92-94 SE's had LSD.

your brake rotors should be covered up to the 36,000 mile warranty. i've done several maximas in the 20-30,000 mile range under warranty.... come to think about it, I worked on a 04 max with 21,000...
