Nissan wont pay **** for this issue. They pretty much said it's a fairly common issue but wont pay for the repairs. :\

how much current is it pulling? I never had an issue with my old 06 max and battery drain. Is the electrical in the car still OEM?

Yep check the speakers themselves. The tinsel leads could have broken off...not common but it does happen.

Not necessarily, but having the port face the same direction of the sub CAN augment the output. You can also have the port fire into the cabin through the rear deck, but that'll require quite a bit...
