It varies car to car, for example Z31 300ZXs have all the dash lights on. The maxima, that may be the case..CEL was on because of codes anyways, and the door was open, so yeah...

+1000, when I did the AT2MT swap in my 96 I didn't sand/scuff the mating surfaces, car always started and ran fine.

High idle on cold start should be controlled by the engine coolant temp sensor and the ECU, not dependent on coolant flowing through the TB...

Oh, yeah. I'm just saying, everyone is always like "oh high mileage makes you lose power." Thats not entirely true, if your car was taken care of you should see very minimal powerloss if any.

Sorry, but its not mileage. I know someone who dynoed 140whp on a VG30E in a Z31 with just a cone air filter, full stock exhaust, 100% original engine with 220,000 miles on it.

Sanded it down then primed it /w sealer primer, then sprayed the paint on...It came out kind of dull and crappy due to cold weather, but it was better than cracks and black marks.

Turbo is definitely a plan in the future, plus since the car had a VE stock and the wiring harness is getting changed to use the Z31 ECU and im rewiring a ton of crap, I'm not too worried about wires...

Awesome! I may attempt to use the Z31 manifolds with the crossover pipe though and a custom downpipe, they look like they flow better...
