Actually, I don't think BOSE ever claimed to be a manufacturer. They merely design the system (i.e. - placement of speakers, tuning, etc.).

I wonder if putting silicon around the seam would do anything to absorb the noise? I've noticed that it coming from there, as well. If i pinch it, while it's vibrating, it stops.
