DO IT!! I have a 2001 with 90,000.. I have replaced the cat, o2 sensor, transmission, engine.. and recently the entire stereo stopped working. I am sure there is much more, I just can't think of it....

The only problem with the setup above the rear view would be the tinted part of the windshield. I don't know how much it matters but the radars usually specify not to have it be blocked by the tinted...
