I had the same problem, usually the passenger side front speaker would cut out. My usual fix was to hit the unit wiht my fist on the right had side right next to the LCD screen for the climate...

it helps with the lag from the AC in the summertime I found as well - not a big deal, but I found the car accelerated more normally when using the AC.

taking out the rear seat doesnt make a huge difference, its surprisingly light, but its also really easy to take out. taking it out can't hurt! the front seat is significant tho, probly at least 50...

yeah definatly possible. I'm hopin to touch 13's this year too w/my auto. If you don't already, strip the interior of the car (seats, mats, anything else you want) - it'll help. Good luck!

in a 1/4 race, i'd put my $$ on the auto. anything from a roll tho, the 6 speed has a better chance cause of the close gear ratios. but both are quick :)
