Bought some 8 guage wire and a round connector, connected it to the first bolt on the starter and to the negative terminal on the battery.

For some strange reason the maxima hesitates to start when I turn the key. It makes the noise but won't start until after a few seconds. Does the car need a new starter? Once it starts it runs...
