Fox allows you to check one vehicle only. To get around it, Go to the Internet Options in the Tools menu in IE and press the Delete Cookies button and then press Ok. Make sure you do this after every report. Enjoy!

Nice for fun...but it didn't pick up the $8,700 worth of damage I did to it 6 months ago. You basically have to total a car for things to pop up...or notify the DMV.

I also had a minor accident in which I had to get my bumper replaced and it did not show up on there.

That is why it probaly didn't come up because it was not a "severe accident" or "total loss". It is still peace of mind or a nightmare for some when you find out about your cars history.

I'm not sure what severe is...must be limited to total loss, cause the damage I did to the front of my car was severe enough for me...

Almost $9,000 damage on a car that we'll just say cost around $30,000 brand new is pretty significant damage. I would hope that would show up, otherwise Carfax isn't as valuable as I thought it was.

Great find though Rafe...still well worth the price of admission.

Yeah, I was hit from behind once too, and niether of these showed up on the carfax data. Just a note to all of those banking on the system, it doesn't always tell you everything.

Mine is clean too which had better been right!. I'm confused about how they found out my mileage for last June (DMV records). I have to ask my wife if she wrote any mileage on the 2004 license sticker renewal form.

the report also says my emissions warranty has expired. I thought by law it was 8 years/80,000 miles. The claim 2 years/24,000 miles.

Very useful tip. Carfax is such a joke though, I checked the VIN of a 2002 GLE that I had totalled and it came up clean, and this happened almsot 2 years ago, so they've had time to see it.

Neither of my headlight thefts were reported on here... I assume that no one will know when I sell that I was twice a victim.

Great link, i checked mine since I bought it brand new, it's accurate but I'm still wondering why it hasn't shown any mileage reported other than the one reported when I first acquire the car. The emission warranty threw me off, that it said 24months, and it's expired.

Shows my car is clean even though I had an accident over the min. amount of $1000 which was reported to the DMV as well as my insurance. Don't trust this.

For a while, I thought it was an upside-down T also, but then I realized it was a number '1'. It took me a while too, so don't feel too stupid.
