Reduced the fleet back down to one car. No more Vettes for now. E46 is gone, too. Replaced them with a 2011 S4 6MT. The interior color is pretty rare. I like it.

Kept the Maxima for 8 years, the C4 Corvette for 3.5, both Mercedes and Subaru for less than a year, have had the C6 for 1.5 years and the BMW for 2 weeks.

Find another OEM shifter, heat the rod and ball up in the oven and slide it down a bit. I did it on my car back in the day. Works great! There is a thread on it somewhere around here, do a search...

The other link you posted is for a 1986 Z. It MAY or may not be the same way you...
