If you have an SE then you DO NOT have the Sonar Suspension. It was only available in the GXE which was 4-spd automatic tranny only.

It has more pressure because as Matt said the seals are bad. Rubber expands when it warms up sealing the leaks and giving you more pedal pressure.

My Max is a 5-speed but I use Mobil 1 Synthetic ATF in the little lady's Altima auto. Drain and refill every 20K miles. It is compatible with standard fluids so it's OK to mix with what's in there...
