5-speed manual trans stock - San Diego. Engine runs strong, still using Mobile 1 synthetic oil, replaced original clutch at 230,000 and along the way, typical replacements for a 16.5 year old car...

2001 SE 5-speed - sunlit sand

Original owner, 235K miles, stock - daily driver city & long distance trips - excellent condition - well maintained. If I could find a better car today, I'd buy one, but this one has been a winner.

It's Feb 3, 2012, with 158K miles (25 months and 36K miles after replacing O2 sensors) and everything is still running smoothly. No codes. I win. (see my previous posts this thread)

followup to the followup

As of June 1, 2011, 143K miles, went in for a Cali Smog Test (exhaust metering) and passed cleanly. No more codes and cats are healthy - as I have been saying all along.

Well, it mid-year. With 130K miles on the odometer (22K miles and 14 months since this episode began and 6 months/8K miles after replacing all 4 of my O2 sensors) and no more "cat" or "sensor" codes....

Are you referring to sensor simulators - that produce voltages similar to a properly operating sensor? If so, no. I've never tried them and don't know anyone who has. Other posters here do discuss...
