Porterfield R4S pads do wonders, my brakes will actually lock up now. I highly recommend them to anyone else with crappy braking.

It rubs the plating off the part that the pads...
It rubs the plating off the part that the pads touchs yes. But this part is constantly being rubbed, so it rubs the rust off as well. The rest of the rotor looks like... well... a rusty rotor.

So I ended up with Brembo slotted & cross-drilled rotors that were not zinc plated. Don't ask, its a long story. Regardless, they're now on my car with my nice open wheels and ofcourse they look...
