Please let us know if replacing the booster resolves the issue. This is interesting, it seems like the booster is the culprit.

No way, that's way too much money for that repair. Did you have front end damage prior? I did my own and it only cost me with part and coolant $250. A shop including parts and labor may charge...

Well said. I have 191K on my 2010 and the CVT has been maintained with drain and fills every 30k-35k miles. I've had absolutely no issues. Love that car.
