When i was having trouble with mine, I just pulled the sensor and looked through that hole. I had the car jacked up and put a ratchet on the crank and turned it while looking at the flywheel.

Thats the compresor I have on my 99. But thats not my bearing size. Mine is 35x55x20. Make sure you measure it before you waste money buying the wrong one.
