On my old 00 max the coolant temp sensor and the actual sensor that provides a reading to the dash were independent...

Even if they want you to replace those headers with something so it's still a "complete car" totaled or not, a set from the junkyard will solve that. Some insurance companies may go that route....

used OEM coils are better than brand new aftermarket ones. Its hit or miss when you go with aftermarket coils, mostly a miss IMO.

those coils are probably some rebuilt oem ones that failed at some point. You may be able to see where Hitachi or Mitsubishi was scratched off. The specs are a bit different with the aftermarket...

IIRC the ses light only stays on momentarily when you turn the car to on/start, assuming you have no faults. Mine comes and goes pretty quick when I start it up.
