Replaced thermostat Saturday only to find out that pmohr was exactly right. It was a leak on the filler neck.

I bought this and so far it is working like a champ...no leaks:

All is well now, it appears that the Bosch spark plugs were to blame. They ran fine for about a year and I guess one of them must have been going bad.

So I cleaned out my throttle body completely. Took the whole thing off (what a pain...it's never been off before it seems and the hoses didn't want to pry loose).

Parting out a 4th Gen: Is it worthwhile? Money made?

I've got a 4th gen that's just about ready to give up the ghost I think. It's at about 270k miles and I don't see it making it much further.

There are a lot of parts on it though in great working...
