Check if the grommet on the brake pedal switch came off. They deteriorate and come off in age. That's what happened to me when I saw mine with the brake lights always on.

You simply pull the bulb out for that one. I think for those small bulbs you need small needle nose pliers because it would slip from by bare fingers.

I think the two wires you read are for Illumination. You can cut either the red/yellow or black/red wire to disable it and keep it on high when you turn on illumination.

Not yet. I actually had the entire dash taken apart cause I was changing the engine harness and I haven't put most of it back together since the trans went out again after test driving for a mile...

Yea, quite a few people have done it. It's the RS5F50V. Do a search on the swap because it requires a few extra parts to swap compared to the F50A (I think axles and hubs).

The same reason to go with the 93-94 injectors on the VG: much better connection (removes the metal clip and no wiggle of the connector) and less chance of corrosion if not at all.
