I had to do mine to, but just replaced the A/C Compressor and works really well. Very quiet and A/C cool.

I replaced the plugs recently and have not had it since, not to say that was it just have not had the problem...

Respectfully, the only way the rotors would crack is if there were a crack in the rotor prior to heat treatment. Rotors generally have a tolerance of HRC 15-25 (Rockwell Hardness) and will not crack...
