cefiro headlights

Hey guys, I'm in the market for some cefiro headlights for my 98 i30. I'm kind of torn between the chrome ones and the smoked and I really just need to see them on other i30s before I purchase so that I somewhat know what they'll look like on my car. So can you all post some pics of your cars with the cefiro headlights?

check the members rides at the top of this section it should be sticky'd, but if u have a car outside of white i would go with the smoked cefiros, check my sig for pics.

i'm gonna go ahead and agree.. the only reason I got chrome is b/c of my car color (white) other than that, i'd get the smoked

I believe he's showing the two different styles. The chrome VS black housings.

Thanks guys, I've looked at the headlights in the member's rides thread. I'm definitely going with the smoked ones.

I was just thinking that before I order the cefiros, maybe I should consider retro headlights. Do you guys know what all is involved in doing that and the level of difficulty for that? Thanks.

I have had Cefiros for quite a while now and I'll tell you one thing right now, if you want a decent beam pattern (as in not scattering light all over the place and not enough on the road), get the OEM lights if you can find them. They only come in chrome, but you can paint them black or body color yourself if you really want to. The only reason I would suggest getting aftermarket (read: smoked or cheap chromes) is if you are going to retrofit projectors into them. It has been said many times that it is a bad idea to put HID retrofit kits (not projectors) into the aftermarket cefiros due to the poor beam pattern that will blind other drivers.

I got my cefiros in a few days ago and just got my hids. They are the all chrome ones. I painted the reflectors black to reduce any chance of glare.

I took the headlights apart yesterday and already made my wire harness prior. There is a ****load of bad information on hidplanet so I ended up modifying some wiring schematics that they posted. The original harness had a relay which was powered by the high beam signal but then activated the solenoids that were still tied to the high beam signal. Just adding extra wires and load. I made it that the high beam activated relay now sends battery signal to the solenoids.

They also had some thing about adding a capacitor and other things which was already included in the ballasts.

$500 +/- I could have saved more if I shopped around but whatever.

if u add the headlights lol then it becomes about $330, i have put extra money into it im sitting at about $600 as of now. but just to get Projectors HIDS and the harness to wire them that was only $250. With the prices of HIDs&Projectors these days u can easily have a retro for like $150

just look around, E46 bi-xenons tend to be the cheapest and is what most people including me are running, i had a set of X5 bi-xenons for sale not long ago. i sold them for $70, i have some IS350s that im trying to get rid of but i want 100 for them and they are single xenon

i'm still kinda new with maxima's and I30's but, why not get the authentic OEM JDM cefiro headlights instead of the black housing ebay ones? hears a pic of the authentic "smoked/black housing" headlights, i'm waiting til the end of the month to get them for my maxima.

no offense to anyone but the ebay "cefiro" black house headlights look really tacky and cheap...

Yes, they are TRUE OEM JDM Nissan Cefiro Headlights.
You can tell by the extra buldging piece on the side marker.
They are however RHD (Right handed Drive) though. It'd be the best to retrofit them into LHD (US road) so you won't blind the incoming traffic or get tickets from incoming cops...
