with these spacers, is everything gonna line up correctly still? For example the EGR guide tube and the brackets that hold up the back of the intake manifold?(Which Im sure you guys knew about) Other than that it looks like a professionally made product!

And we recommend to leave off the intake manifold support brackets. If you feel you must install them, they could probably be reinstalled. You may have to enlarge those bolt holes also.

What about offering just the LIM spacers for us 00VI guys? I know it's been mentioned in the past, but I didn't know if there was a conclusion. I think there'd be alot of interest....and you'd get some business that you otherwise wouldn't as the 00VI guys won't buy a full kit.

And yes, it's highly recommended for turbo applications. If you are installing this on an engine that sees more than 8psi of boost, I would suggest using "Permatex 1 Minute Gasket" instead of normal black RTV. It's much more durable, but more expensive.

Right now, we are currently looking to test the 4th gen kit on the DEK engine. But, if the ports do not line up perfectly, we won't recommend it.

Since the kit is still so new, we have not seen enough demand to separate kits. So more than likely, to keep orders simple and costs down, we will only sell this as a complete kit. They are produced as full kits. This could change in the future, especially if more interest is shown in the LIM Spacers.

Our UIM Spacers are port matched to the 4th gen LIM itself. So it really only depends on which LIM you are using. If you have a 4th gen LIM, then the entire 4th gen kit should match up and fit perfectly. We don't know at this point if the 4th gen kit will match the ports on the DEK LIM.

The spacers are matched perfectly to the VQ30DE LIM. In my experience, porting the LIM will not help much if at all. All you may be able to do is remove all the casting flaws and that's it. You shouldn't be doing any enlarging of the ports. But if you do decide to enlarge the ports, you can always port the spacers as well to make sure they remain port matched. Just make sure you wear a face mask to not breath in the dust caused from porting these spacers. It can be hazardous.
The biggest gain would be to port the UIM to match the spacers and LIM since they are drastically undersized and mismatched straight from the factory. That is why the spacers help airflow since you are removing a poorly matched intake manifold gasket. Anything to help smooth the transition from one manifold to another will help airflow.

On the VQ30DE Kit, coolant is flowing directly behind the EGR Tube. So even if you live in a severely cold climate, you should still be ok. Also, you have coolant flowing through the throttle body. This was not bypassed b/c of the Fast Idle Control. So there is only one brass bypass fitting included.
Please feel free to go ahead and read over the instructions ahead of time. You can download them in pdf format on our website. If you have any more questions, feel free to email me or post them here.
Thanks.

The coolant bypass fitting is used to bypass the coolant from the Upper Intake Manifold. Once the Thermal Intake Spacers are installed, you do not want coolant flowing through the manifold heating things up. The spacers will still work as they are suppose to, but bypassing the coolant helps them insulate better.
