03 maxima 4 speed auto to 6mt

The auto has been slipping in my 5.5 gen, and i figure if im gonna spend the money, i might as well make myself happy. I've got a rough idea of what the swap entails from what I've seen in some other threads, I have all my parts together.. but there are a few thing still unclear to me.

1. Are the bolts that go from the flywheel to crank the same as the bolts the go from flexplate to crank??? in other words can i use the same bolts i take from the auto or buy manual ones..

2. I see people talking about doing the rear main seal and upper/lower oil pan gaskets while the tranny is off.. the engine has 60k.. should I?

3. I'm not sure how to put the clutch pedal and master cylinder in.. Do i need to remove some part of the dash??

4. certain people say to always go oem with a throw out bearing.. so should i use the one that came with my exedy clutch kit or go oem??

For the most part its the same as a 5spd swap... you are most likely gonna hae to go by the dealer for a part of the trany mount, its a 2pc mount I wanna say the part number is 11253 or 6, if you can find the diagram the dealers use for part numbers I can easily point it out 2 you..., your gonna also have to cut off the auto tranny mount (carefully) and use spacers n and some really strong bolts to put the 6mt tranny mount on...

While I have your attention.. Are there any other issues you ran into with your swap?

Mmm naw, I doubt it will be an issue for u... from time to time I lose pressure in my clutch to where I damn near have to pump it up a few times, I've canged master and slave cyl and still the same result, its gotten better but ever so random I will looe pressure in the clutch more so when I'm cruising in 6th on the hwy then when I get off, huge flat/dead spot in the clutch pedal, I think I still have a faulty master cyl though so we will see... other than that.... nothing but fun

Hmmm I see I see.. You using stock lines?... I've been told that once you get air into it; you'll never get back the stock feel.. I bought the one piece stainless steel line.. Which eliminates a bleeding point... Also.. What kind of clutch set up ?

If so and you plan on wiring up your reverse lights keep me posted with pics, I just wanna know what exactly is the reverse lamp switch on the trans and exactly what wire to connect to what

Something isn't right there.. Anywho.. I do have my 6 speed ecu.. But no keys.. So I'll have to go thru the hassle of getting it towed and reprogrammed.. My main concern is the swap right now.. That being said I plan on using the auto ecu to begin with... I found some threads on nycmax on how to wire in the reverse and pnp swich using an auto ecu; so we'll see how that goes.. Keep you posted

Gotta shoot me pms bro, I'm hardly in this section.... 301 254 4088 (I personally didn't do my swap but can get just about all most of the info for you)

If you check out aackshun's blog and thread on the 6spd swap there should be pics of what ur talking about n how its done... I do believe that a bigger hole was drilled though
