Build stage #2 3.0 S/C to N/A 3.5

This is going to be a worklog. Updates will be posted when available and time permits. I'll open to comments once I am done.

Original build, which never really ended... http://forums.maxima.org/members-rid...uple-mods.html

Now moving on:

S/C is being removed, never a problem with it, just a personal choice. It is going to a good home locally.

New setup-
Engine:
VQ35 from a 2002 Max, approx 60k miles
S/M Camshaft, IACV & Pathfinder TB adapters
Revup Camshafts
ARP Rod bolts
New water pump
New tensioners
VQ30 timing components
PR CAI
Underdrive pulley
Cleaned/balanced injectors
Port matched upper/lower intake manifolds
Mocal thermostat/oil cooler

Transmission-
Quiaffe going into my spare transmission with all new bearings, seals, and syncro's
Southbend Clutch stage 3
New transmission mount

Misc work to be done- Replace all parking brake cables, redo stereo and wiring, replace steering rack bushings

Keeping my Cattman headers, and will be using the EU to tune the new setup. Everything else should be staying the same. Everything on this car has pretty much been replaced at one point or another.

Current mods that are staying:
Suspension:
Tokico Illumina struts and springs
ES bushings
Progress RSB

Brakes:
Willwood 12.6" front BBK
Hawk HPS rear pads
Stainless lines all around

Transmission:
Quiafe LSD
B&M short throw shifter

Exhaust:
Cattman Gen 3 headers
Apexi World Series Exhaust

Started pulling everything apart tonight:

Waiting for its new home and toys...

Did you have to reshim the cam buckets after the cam install?

Nope. One of them was close, but I was able to switch a shim and get it where I was comfortable with it. Glad I had a few sets of feeler gauges.

I like this new clutch brand I never heard of. Their website is very informational. Let me know how it runs with the 35, I might scoop one up.

Thanks guys. I'll post a full clutch review once I get some miles on it. I'm hoping to have the car running again on Sunday.
