Front windows don't roll down

Hey guys, I’m having a problem here and I've tried searching as well. I even had my friend take a look at it and he's a forum member as well. A couple days ago, I had taken off my front passenger door panel to check why my power folding mirror didn’t fold. When I checked it my windows rolled down but after I put everything back together that same night, both my driver side and passenger side front windows won’t roll down anymore. When I push the master switch, I can hear both switches click but neither of my windows roll down. I’ve taken both door panels off and checked to make sure all my plugs are snapped in. I have no idea what the problem could be. Right now I’m guess maybe my window regulators might have gone out? Any suggestions would be helpful at this moment as I have no clue what else to look for.

I doubt it's the regulators. You need to check for power going to the master switch. I'm not sure of the polarity, but you should get 12v when button is pressed in.

If you got no power to the master switch, you may have an issue with the alarm module (I forget the technical term).

If you do have power up to the master switch, then the switches are bad.

Well my master switch lights up and has power as I can roll down my back windows with my master switch. My front passenger side window won't roll down when I use the passenger side switch.

Its the master switch. Happened to both myself and a friend. You may be able to move the front windows up and down by turning the key in the door.

I know our power windows once and awhile when you apply the auto up, they go up and then drop back down about 3" ... this is normally resolved by removing the door panel and down deep in the door there is a reset button ... have you attempted to use the reset button to resolve that your windows will do neither up/down function? Just curious I guess if the reset button will fix this issue as well.

My windows won't even roll down, at the moment they are rolled all the way up. Where is this reset button you speak of?

sorry took me a couple of minutes to find a thread with a diagram, don't even know if it will help but was a thought.

also:

You could also have an issue with the "Smart Entrance System module"

Link to the FSM's for the 03's the info is in the EL section pages 251-265

I also see that there is a fuse in the driver side junction box, well at least it is showing the fuse #13 is for the power windows ... but puzzled by that you can operate the rear windows ... so it also could be the switch itself.

Also found this thread on the window topic http://forums.maxima.org/5th-generation ... oblem.html

I checked the fuses and that isn't the problem. I also don't think it is the switch as when I use the master switch to try and open the front passenger side window, I can hear the front passenger side window switch click.

AhHhhhh!!! I hate not being able to roll down my windows..........
