I have HIDs in my projector housings. I thought since the 2k2 and 2k3 Maxima's had that setup it would be fine, but actually no. The hids spew light EVERYWHERE. It was so bad at first exit signs on the highway several miles down were actually blinding me from the reflection from my own headlights.

Right now it isn't too bad, I have them pointed down almost as far as they go, but I am definitely going to get projectors as soon as I can afford them. The stock reflector housings just spew light everywhere.

my hids in my stock housings werent that bad actually if aimed properly. but than again i have never had a nice setup. i could only imagine in your R34s the output would be terrible... worse than stock.

It would suck. I have hids in my one piece headlights. They look great fromthe outside of the car, but for function it gets a 1. Stick with some regular bulbs. Nokya makes some decent ones like artic white.

What's the problem with the HID's in the stock housings? Glare? Do the HID bulbs with the shield around them make any type of difference? I wanted to do a HID setup in the stock housings but I'm second guessing that after reading the replies in this thread lol

You need projectors, plain and simple. Do not do HID's in any housing.

Yesterday I saw some douchebag in a new altima with HIDs in stock housings

I flashed him and he tried to flash me back but his high beams weren't as blinding as his HID low beams.

yes... either hidplanet.com/forums, here, ebay, retrofitsolutions.com, retrosolution. etc.

I find the lowest prices are always on ebay.

What headlights do you want to retrofit? ie. stock headlights need bi-xenon projectors (high/low). R34 headlights have a high beam spot... so you could use single xenon projectors or bi-xenon.

If bans were served out for making terrible threads, enik23 should have been banned by Moses or the 3 wise men.

We should offer awards for different stuff. His would be "Most threads started without searching". Almost every thread he has started, he could have easily found answers just by searching.
