2. How much was it?
3. How hard was it to get cut?
4. Do any of the buttons work with the factory applications?

1. Taiwan
2. $45
3. Easy, just went to a random shop
4. Haven't had a chance to try programming it. I'm thinking (hoping) yes.. Since it was made for the Cefiro.

Looks like a infrared key. Same type Mercedes uses. If that's the case, it won't operate your alarm or anything like that.

Its probably made in Taiwan as well but that is where I got it from. My mom just came back from there. There is no website to order from, its just a shop near one of my relatives.

I don't think its one of those infrared remotes. Its just a red LED I think but, I know nothing about infrared remotes.

The reason I am hoping this will work with the stock alarm is because this key is not associated with an aftermarket alarm when they bought it.. It was being sold to people with a stock alarm I believe.

I will try to program tonight, after work.

not unless you..

a) open the key up and put your chip in..
b) put a spare key in the steering column which defeats the purpose of an immobilizer

Yea if you can get them to work with the factory alarm, I'll take two so long as they're under $50.
