I have too many cars!

1. 2005 Toyota echo 2 door hatch with twin engines (turbod 4age(s)) 503hp awd
2. 1988 Mazda 323 gt turbo sedan - full ground up restoration making 200hp
3. 1988 Mazda 323 gt sedan with full suspension but no motor yet
4. 1991 isuzu impulse rs awd turbo lots of mods but needs floor work appox 200hp
5. 1987 Nissan maxima - I have $2500 in new suspension and brakes ready to install and I should have it turbod too with a cheap z31 setup - hp goal is 210hp
6. 1987 Nissan maxima parts car / daily driver - I bought this cause if I needed parts I have a complete car to take them from but I currntly daily drive it.

I actually sold my Lexus sc400 to fund the maxima project (stupid idea lol)

so I think I have too many cars...

As for the hitch I am keeping it on! For that sleeper look.

I prefer to drive sleepers the have a ***** extension like the lex sc

and all isuzu are fail machines... I know first hand from working on a couple isuzu rs'

and the maxima is a box! The goal is to make a VIP highway cruiser

I really would like a skyline. Hard to beat the bang per buck. But they do draw more attention then I like. I'd buy one for a winter beater.

A first gen maxima would be better suited for that goal ::

I totally agree! I have never seen a first gen maxima. And I've only seen one other 2nd. They are hard to come by.

I've seen your car... I wish I had a 1st gen I meant I've never seen on in person and for sale. I'd rather mod a rwd 1st gen then a FailWD 2nd gen. I figure 200-230hp should be enough for driving around. I just find the vg30 so god damn slow! Does anyone know the curb weight of a second gen? I think I read somewhere the 3rd gen is like 3100lbs

yeah, the 3rd gen is a bit over 3000lbsish. ive found the opposite, ive found the VG30E to be impressively fast for their age and they are built to last, might be because i have the other version of the VG30E than 2nd gens have

but the VG30E had many applications, it was used in the Z31 300zx, Pathfinder, 240sx V6 Maximas, and some others. it was a good engine

ive seen 1 1st gen here, and it was driven by a fat guy who probably lives with his mom still. it was dirty and rusted, but still gorgeous

i was going to get one of those flip screens but it would get jacked in a second here, this is a city where people will try to rip off your body kit in broad daylight

Over here I've seen a bunch of 1st gens, although they're in the junkyard.

Don't know if that counts.

But I get what yall saying I rarely see them 1st & 2nd. Does the 0gen count? 'Cause if so I've never seen one, I think

HAHAHAHAHA OOOOOOHHH ok, I was HIGHLY confused by your post lol we're all good that guy don't deserve his 1st gen, I'm in my mid 20s, not 40s-50s, and I don't rock tank tops

what the n00b i thought it was the 240sx. i thought thats one helluva 240 with a VG30E lol

i guess the 3rd gen VG30E got a few more horsepower (under 5) than the 2nd gen ones, the 2nd gen ones look cooler though and if i had the skill i would just drop in a whole VG30ET Z31 engine into my 3rd gen rather than keeping my current one and using the Z31 turbo on it

haha yeah i put 15x7s on the back with 185/75 tires, it almost sits flush with the fenders but rubs on the tops when theres ppl in the back haha, im probably gonna put 5mm or 10mm spacers and cut the tire size down to 185/55 to stretch it some more and help with the rubbing. i also need suspension its all stock haha

My third gen had similar problems and it was a bad TPS sensor. I think the 2nd gens may have the same thing. It's real easy to replace. It's just on the side of the throttle body.
