I bought a set of 4 altima rims . THE SIZE TIRES IM LOOKING FOR IS 225/45/R17 . I now need to buy tires for them!! They are off a 2005 nissan altima......any suggestions on tires and any pics of any maximas with these rims????.........

There is a tire discussion area. This is a section SPECIFICALLY for buying/selling tires and rims. This is where you go when you know what you want or got something to sale. It isn't hard to get info, just post in the right place.

Let me try to clarify this and correct me if I'm wrong.

hmmm.. maybe he's looking for a set of tires to buy. It is sort of confusing the 1st time i read it. If you want comments on which tires you should get or buy from other .org members, it would be informative if you also list what size the rims are. It's a 2005 Altima rim, but being lazy like most people, I won't be doing a search on google just to see which size rims Altimas come with.

If you're buying used tires from .org members, then you've posted this in the right place, but if you're just looking for comments, then you'll need to post this elsewhere.

The problem is that he never said any kind of size tires that he wants. He asked for suggestions and that will imply that he wants input about what to do. Find out what you want/need in the other forum(s) then come back here asking for that, then you will probably see some results.

Well, the only input you're going to get in THIS section of the forum, is from people selling tires with that size. They aren't necessarily going to tell you which brand and type of tire to go for. There is a PROPER section where people will discuss with you what type of tire brand to go with. This section is ONLY for buying/selling/trading.

Talk about having to spoon feed. You're in the section of the forum where the members buy/sell/trade their items. You clicked on the section where members buy/sell/trade their rims and or tires.

Nismos was being sarcastic. I suggest running either 235/45/r17 or 245/45/r17..but just to reinforce this notion: When you post in the sale/buy/trade section you either want to buy/sell/trade rims or tires. Just try not to post questions in this one, because you should already have a clue to what you want to buy/sell/trade.

Sometimes the org can be harsh.

I wouldn't post in this section asking for suggestions b/c if I had a set of tires for sale I would say mine are the best. That is why they are telling you to go to the Wheels and Tire Discussion Forum not in the Wheel and Tire For sale/trade/buy Forum. Get what I mean? Hope this helped. Like everyone has been writing come back when you know what you want.

Yes, career man here. I am in the medical field E-6, TSgt for now. I get my commission in May 08, then hopefully become a pilot. I am in New Orleans. Good luck!!! Oh yeah in the Air Force we call it AFSC (Air Force Specialty Code), MOS is for Army.

I have a set of staggered 17's I dont need. They are 225/50 in front and 235/50 in the rear. 1 rear is pretty worn, the other three are near brand new. PM me for details. BTW these are the Bridgestone Potenza's off a 350Z
