I agree. LA city will do anything for money. I would hate to sign up as a police officer and have to swallow the guilt of screwing innocent people over for the sake of keeping my job.

got two tickets within an hour and a half for the same thing expired tags on the same street on the same day...
sent in correction and the one $10 correction fee and explained my position of only paying for one correction as its just one violation....
5 months later I receive mail from them saying I owe $190 in fine and penalties because they credited $5 to each ticket and thats it..... wtf faggots
and I called them and they say theres nothing I can do except pay and because its been 5 monthes I can schedule an administrative hearing
wow... pissed...
yeah man i hate LA parking and LA drivers.
to start with the parking , there is no parking -_- gotta park on the dam streets or meters, on top of that the streets are bad. as for the drivers everyone cuts eachother off and no one gets pissed LOL,unless youre not from around there then youll get pissed if it happens to you haha

Sorry to hear about the situation. FYI just because you send in an explanation with your (partial) payment. The person on the other end is not going to take the time to call you, explain why they is not "acceptable". Burden is always on the individual. Unless you get it in writing you can't explain your "special circumstance" and expect that it was "fine" because you didn't hear back from them right away.
Good luck.

Sorry for your luck. That reminds me, I have to call the "Expressway authority" about my ticket for running a toll. And I have an e-pass that is valid. Those damn cameras.....

yea =p pretty much now theres nothing I can do unless I can complain to a politician and promise them cookies in exchange for doing something hahaha
I just wished if they had rejected it, that they send me a letter saying my request was rejected because now the fines tripled on each ticket.
I called them and they obviously tell me the only thing I can do is pay...
thats probably what I'll end up doing but I will never forget the City of LA
I coulda used that money on more important things! haha like new tires on my SUV =/
