Dood, we have regional role calls every stinkin week. Next will be Irvine again, then SD, then some part of LA, and then some part of 'Bay.... and back to Sac again. There's gotta be a better way to do this.

How about a map that you input your zip code. Then, if a person doesn't post after a month, they get wiped off the map. That way, only the current members are on the map.

I'm thinking some kinda google map should do the trick

I think I know Citrus heights, that's like 15min away from me, near granite bay? I looked at some apts out there, bang-for-buck I wasn't impressed, but there are some nice 'hoods there. I'm in x9x5x7x6x5x. 2 of my staff are in CH. My clinic is across the street from Sierra College.

That's completely fine, Just want a way to purge old non-active members after a certain amount of time, like 1-3months. Maybe we'll have a heat map of member population density... watch the hot spots go from the nice 'hoods to 3rd world countries and chop-shops.

Reminds me, I was in Bolivia and saw a buncha 80s sentras. What's cool is, some run on gas, some were converted to diesel, and some run on a kinda corn oil bio-gas. They've got these compressed gas cylinders instead of gas tanks. What a trip! They're more advanced than us, cuz they don't import oil like we do up here. So they do their own thing.

I also saw my first Toyota Hilux up close when I was there. I fell in love w/them!

I'm sure the .org could whip up some code that creates a "hot spot" density population every time a member re-logs in and places a point for the locale in their profile on a USA map.

That would be the easiest way I think, basing it off active .org members and their logon activity?

You kno, I asked that question too before I moved up here... and the locals said "Home of the biggest mall, the Roseville Galleria"... Nice... *sigh*

At least Sac isn't as big as LA/OC where I'm from. I've been traveling from here in Placer to Davis a few times, and it's not bad at all. Although for some reason, going to Law's place felt like 100 miles away!

Yeah, I'm glad I had my V1 going. BTW, are there any speed traps around Sac? When I get back from winter break, I'm gonna hardwire my V1 and install a remote starter.

Great! Not only is sacramento NOT a home to anything, we're home for stupids living here too!

And no, I'm not saying Thurz is "stupid". I'm sayin' if the Locals are saying Sac. is "home" to the Galleria, then they're dumb. Galleria isn't even in Sacramento County!!! it's friggin' Placer!

LOL, Thanx for clarifying.

Ok... home to... The Kings, who made western division finals in 02 and 03, over my beloved and over-rated Lakers.

Home to.... The Govern-ator.

Home to.... 11% asians (man, feels weird being a minority!)

We need a "You know you're in Sacramento when..." thread! Someone start it.

I was just messin. U wanna be president? It's a huge responsibility. I was coordinating events for San Diego when I lived down there... pretty much had it going on for the Nissan Sedans of the time... Maximas, Altimas, and Sentras. Casual meetups every week, and bigger events every 3wks or so.

BTW, where u comin from? I'm Jae, nice to meet you. Feel free to IM me to chat, and my cell # is in this forum somewhere, encrypted with 'x' around the area code, prefix, and all.

There's a gokart place called RPM up here. http://www.raceplacemotorsports.com/
$20 for 10min

Or if we get 8-10 people, we can have a race for $28
* 1 ‑ 10 Lap Timed Qualifier to determine starting position for Final Race
* 1 ‑ 20 Lap Final Outlaw Race

Open 11am to 11pm everyday. I was planning on going on a Tues morn in January, but if a buncha people here wanna go, let's shoot for Monday evening when they combine both tracks into 1 longer one.

Jan 12, 7pm. Sound ok?
