negative yo. the rears won't lock up with abs. trust me i've tried and pushed the brakes hard. having a bbk is the best investment i have made in a while. they improve your braking so much to the point that they should have been stock on a maxima. just drivin by yourself is fine with stock brakes but once you have a full car look out!!!!

i just realized that i'm stupid and the rotors i have are for a 6th gen.. my bad, well thats one less think you would have to but for a bbk

No worries hahahaha. Even with the 6gen rotors, I still need some better calipers to get the clamping force. What's your setup right now?

The Law, NismoVQDET?, and I all have the identical setup.

And its good that Nismo chimed in with his ABS situation, cause im telling you man, the fronts are the FIRST thing to lock up on my car before anything else. Even IF you decided to spend $$$ for the matt blemco Rear BBK, we still cant adjust brake bias...Your going to have to buy one of those proportional valves or whatever they call, and thats just WAYY overkill for a maxima...just not necesarry AT ALL. Even with a BBK in the rear, its still going to throw off your bias given that its not OEM and the fact of volume everything you mentioned...

The bias is the least of your worries, i can guarantee it.

As for the 5.5 rotors, im sorry i guess i wasnt thinking straight. I guess i mixxed up my gen's hehe. Your best bet it to go to a junk yard or something and buy a used rotor offa 5.5 and test fit it...but i personally think its a waiste of time.

Im assuming that your rotors now are warped, that is the MAIN reason i switched to a bbk, i was going thru rotors left and right with my stock setup because of warping...i went thru rotors every 4-5 months....after my bbk, i havent even replaced my rotors in 3 years or more....They have handles 110+ mph full stops REPEATEDLY with virtually no fading issues.

Looks like the only way your gona answer your question tho is to just try it out...none of us can really help you since we dont have a 5th gen with stock brakes to compare to..

Dr J

Lol well good tires are a given, notice how i didnt mention brake pads either? I wouldnt expect someone to get a Z32 BBK and then put key value brake pads on...lol same goes with tires...

But yes, i do admit My 245 40 18 KDW2's def. help out with alot more than just stoping lol...They help me get laid too...

Sometimes they even make me breakfast...But they usually over cook the eggs and burn the milk for my coffee...

Any chance I can check out what your setup is like in person? I have heard a lot about that setup on maximas, but never seen them in person.

Just cause you have a maf code doesn't mean your filter is bad. It could mean that your maf went bad

Or that you need to clean it, 4th gen Mafs dont go out very often...Clean it, throw in a nicer filter and reset your ECU.

Are you getting symptomes of a bad MAF?

BTW, the filter i have is a 3 incher
