Is there a "smog legal" way to bump up some power in my 95 max??
Hey guys, so i've got a 5 spd max that i dd, and am looking to get some NOTICEABLE horsepower... Excluding turbos, what can i add or upgrade on my car performance wise? I already have an SRI installed... thanx

lol, maxima definitely needs some "go a little faster" mods... im trying to improve my 0-60 runs

on Supercharger as long as you have a 95-98 Maxima. Works fine on a 99, but technically not Smog legal since Stillen didn't pay to have it approved. I know you said you don't have the $$ OP, but a SC kit can be had for $1200-$1500 (maybe cheaper) if have some patience and find the right buyer. Shoot, I picked up a SC kit for $600.
intake: most are illegal, any gains are next to nothing. Smog shop will easily catch it and you'll fail the visual part of the smog check.
headers: Any headers made for the maxima are definitely illegal in CA
downpipe: ??? thinking of a Supra perhaps? lol
ypipe: definitely illegal in CA. Will the smog shop see it? Probably not. Best bang for the buck mod.
cat: worthless mod on a NA max
cat-back: legal as long as you don't exceed the State's specified db level.
